It all started during solar boom 1.0
Steffen and Johannes D. are co-workers at GermEurope, an EPC, and install solar PV plants all over Germany and Europe including the Vatican.
Together, they start developing a hardware independent monitoring solution; following the first version, which runs on Microsoft Excel, a tailored, self-programmed software soon combines twelve different monitoring solutions.
Steffen and Johannes D. quit their jobs to incorporate Powerdoo in Rostock, the first software only monitoring in the market.
Johannes B. and Konrad incorporate Solytic in Berlin to build a data-driven ecosystem for solar PV. The four founders met at Intersolar in Munich and decided to join forces to digitize solar PV.
Backed by a seed investment by Vattenfall, Solytic launches the product Monitoring 1.0, supervising 25.000 solar PV systems
With the legal merger of Solytic and Powerdoo the company becomes one of the fastest growing solar software providers worldwide.
After successfully closing a Series A with Vattenfall, EWE and other business angels Solytic passes the milestone of +100,000 solar PV systems connected, and launches its marketplace.
